Bangkok Pokémon fans have been waiting since May for the next practical detail. The first announcement established that Thailand would get its first Pokémon Center at centralwOrld during 2026. The latest official update is much more useful for anyone actually planning a visit: it narrows the opening to December, identifies the exact floor and room, publishes standard operating hours and reveals the branch’s signature Pokémon.
The announcement also gives the Bangkok store its own visual identity. Shaymin appears with Pikachu in the new Pokémon Center BANGKOK logo, and the two characters are shown together at the entrance concept. That makes this more than a generic retail opening for fans — the Bangkok branch is being introduced as a destination with a local store identity, not simply another place to buy merchandise.
The Pokémon Company’s official Thailand shop page states that Pokémon Center BANGKOK is preparing to open in December 2026 on the sixth floor of centralwOrld. The page describes the store as a place where visitors can immerse themselves in the Pokémon world while choosing from a broad range of official Pokémon products.
That follows the company’s 5 May 2026 announcement that the first Pokémon Center in Thailand would open at centralwOrld during 2026. The September update moves the story from a broad “this year” promise to a practical month and store location.
The official page also reveals the Bangkok logo and names Shaymin, the Mythical Gratitude Pokémon, as the store’s symbol. Shaymin appears alongside Pikachu in the logo and is part of the entrance treatment shown by Pokémon Thailand.
The store information published by Pokémon Thailand gives the location as centralwOrld, room C604/2, level 6, at 4, 4/1–4/2, 4/4 Ratchadamri Road, Pathum Wan, Bangkok 10330.
For visitors, that matters because centralwOrld is already one of Bangkok’s easiest major shopping destinations to combine with a wider city day. It sits in the Ratchaprasong retail district, within walking distance of other malls, the Erawan Shrine and the elevated pedestrian connections around Ratchaprasong.
If the Pokémon Center is your main reason for visiting, go directly to centralwOrld rather than treating “Siam” or “Chit Lom” as a vague area reference. The exact room number gives you something concrete to check against the mall directory once the store is open.
Pokémon Center branches often use a locally distinctive Pokémon pairing or visual identity. For Bangkok, the company has chosen Shaymin in its Land Forme and placed it beside Pikachu in the new store logo.
Pokémon Thailand describes Shaymin as the branch’s symbolic Pokémon and shows Pikachu and Shaymin welcoming guests at the entrance. The official announcement does not give a detailed cultural explanation for the choice, so we are not inventing one. The confirmed point is simple: Shaymin is the Bangkok store’s signature character and will be central to the branch branding.
That is useful for collectors too. A distinctive branch identity often becomes part of the reason fans visit a Pokémon Center in person, even when the company has not yet published the full opening merchandise list. For now, anything about Bangkok-exclusive products beyond what Pokémon Thailand explicitly announces should be treated as speculation.
The official store listing gives regular hours as 10am–10pm every day, with the important qualification that the Pokémon Center will follow centralwOrld’s operating hours and holiday schedule.
The nearest station listed by Pokémon Thailand is BTS Chit Lom (E1) on the Sukhumvit Line. From Chit Lom, the elevated walkway through the Ratchaprasong area is usually the simplest approach for visitors who want to avoid street-level traffic and busy crossings.
Siam station is also within the wider central shopping district, but the official Pokémon listing specifically names Chit Lom. If you are arriving in peak traffic or on an opening-weekend day, rail is likely to be more predictable than a car or taxi for the final approach.
Pokémon Thailand says the store will offer a dedicated space to experience the Pokémon world and shop for a wide selection of official Pokémon merchandise. The current announcement is deliberately broad: it confirms the concept and store identity but does not yet publish a complete catalogue of opening products, purchase limits, queue systems or reservation rules.
That distinction matters. Big character-store openings can generate rumours very quickly, especially around limited merchandise and opening-day gifts. Until the company publishes specific Bangkok launch items, the safe assumption is only what the official page guarantees: a permanent Pokémon Center-style retail experience, official merchandise and the Pikachu-and-Shaymin Bangkok identity.
Pokémon Thailand says more information will be released progressively before the December opening. Fans travelling specifically for merchandise should therefore check the official site again closer to their visit rather than relying on screenshots or reseller posts from September.

When Pokémon Thailand publishes a precise opening date or opening-week access rules, that will be the point to update plans. Until then, December is confirmed; a particular December day is not confirmed by the official store page we checked.
One detail Pokémon Thailand has chosen to clarify in advance is what will not happen. The official page states that there will be no Pokémon card giveaway commemorating the opening of Pokémon Center BANGKOK.
That is worth flagging because opening promotions can attract collectors and resale speculation. If you see social posts promising a guaranteed commemorative card simply for attending the Bangkok opening, they conflict with the current official notice.
This does not rule out every possible launch promotion or future product announcement. It means only that the company has explicitly told visitors not to expect a commemorative Pokémon card giveaway for the opening.
For Bangkok residents: once the exact opening date is announced, consider a weekday visit if your priority is browsing rather than launch-day atmosphere. centralwOrld is already busy at evenings and weekends, and a new Pokémon Center is likely to add another draw on level 6.
For travellers: the location is easy to combine with Ratchaprasong, Siam and central Bangkok. If Pokémon is a must-do rather than a bonus stop, leave enough flexibility in a December itinerary for the opening date to shift within the month until it is formally published.
