How the BTS Skytrain works, which lines go where, fares, and the Rabbit Card.

The two lines

Silom Line (dark green) runs through Silom and Sathorn to the river; Sukhumvit Line (light green) runs the length of Sukhumvit and out to Bearing and Kheha.

Fares

15–59 THB depending on distance; buy single-trip tokens at machines or use Rabbit Card; machines accept coins and notes.

Hours

Roughly 5:30 AM – midnight daily; frequency every 3–7 minutes peak hours, 5–10 minutes off-peak.

Key interchanges

Siam station connects both lines; Asok (BTS) connects to Sukhumvit (MRT); Mo Chit (BTS) connects to Chatuchak Park (MRT).

Rabbit Card

Buy for 50 THB + deposit; load any amount; tap in and out; can also use for MRT, buses, some boats — see transport card guide.
