A Rabbit Card costs 100 THB (50 THB card fee, 50 THB minimum top-up) and works across BTS, some MRT integration, and Rabbit-affiliated buses — worthwhile if you're taking more than 3–4 BTS trips during your stay, since it removes the need to queue at ticket machines each time.
Confusingly, MRT uses a separate stored-value card system from BTS's Rabbit Card — the two networks aren't fully unified, so frequent users of both often end up carrying two cards rather than one.
Any BTS station ticket counter sells and tops up Rabbit Cards; MRT cards are available at MRT station counters — both accept cash only for top-ups at the counter, though some stations have card-accepting machines too.
